A bit disappointed in the finish on these $60. Kali sticks. Both are splintering around the edges of the ends. A heavier lacquer on the ends might have helped.

Just started learning kali and wanted to get a pair of good sticks. I really like these as they feel strong. My only complaint is that they are of different sizes. One stick is a bit bigger than the other. It can just be a wood thing I dont know, but if you need a solid pair of sticks I would give these a go.

This is my second pair of Kali Sticks from Budo Brothers. To say I love them would be an understatement. I've been at this a long time, and these are, hands down, the most beautiful pair(s) I own. They are, as the photos on the website will attest, a work of art. I use them for solo practice and demonstration mostly, as I don't want to damage them in partner practice. These are my first Kali sticks, so i have no real basis for comparison. Overall, I am impressed with the design. Hand positions are clearly marked, and the finish is smooth. They are a little lighter than expected, however they are clearly quality sticks. I will definitely be buying the upgraded version once I get more practice with these.

Soon as I got these sticks I started going to town with a friend doing a whole bunch of sinwali drills hard and fast.
Sticks had some scuff marks on them that easily wiped off. They took a good beating and didn't seem worse for wear at all.
Weight is good, feels good in the hand, well worth the 30$ per stick.

As an Okinawan karate practitioner we use tanbo. I have struggled to find a quality pair of tanbo for weapon on weapon training. The Escrima sticks from Buddha brothers are very durable and ideal for a weapon on weapon training. Like other reviews, my biggest hesitation is to beat something up, that looks so good. Very satisfied with my purchase and will likely be back for more.

I like the weight and feel of these Rattan sticks. They feel great in my hands! I had also bought the hybrid kali sticks and absolutely love them. The only downside is that one of the rattan sticks is a little warped and has a weird shape at the end. I understand that each is unique and it’s probably my own sense of aesthetics that makes me disappointed with these.
On the plus side the hybrid sticks are gorgeous and handle beautifully!!

The sticks are durable, light weight and comes with a carrying soft case. Its not too small or too large for the hand to hold. Swings, twirls, striking feels good with other sticks. If you are an instructor or student I would recommended these sticks for practice.
