Be it blades or leaves, Miyamoto Musashi took nothing lightly. According to legend, Japan’s most famous ronin was obsessed with this tea from his hometown.
The handcrafting process is both old school and bad ass. It involves rough leaves and twigs, bonfires, antique cauldrons, and years of experience.
There are only three shokunin in Japan who still make this balanced, sweet and satisfying brew. It’s a beautiful example of an ancient tradition and we are simply honored to have access to the artisan who's family has been growing this tea in Japan for generations.

Outstanding flavor. It's clearly not your run of the mill green tea. Only issue with it is the bag is nearly impossible to get open properly. That being said, if you like tea you'll love this. Plus, I think it's improving my martial arts. ; )
Truelly balanced tea, not much bitterness, rich taste, loving it getting more assuredly
This is a delicious tea that is earthy and delicate. Very refreshing without being heavy, I have brewed loose leaf teas for many years, and I love this whole leaf.
This tea has blown me away with its sweet but complex spicing and aromatics. The rustic condition of the leaves and twigs gives it a quality that invites me to imagine its life as a plant and where it grew, a connection that is rare in today’s consumer packaged goods world. Extremely relaxing and delicious; a new go to on my shelf!
Very settled and earthy tea with a mild after taste
Excellent choice of herbs
Very smooth, earthy and tons of flavor. Easily the best green tea I've ever had.
If it's good enough for Mushashi it's good enough for me.
This is a very mild tea and faintly sweet. I've been able to steep it three times and still get a good brew with the recommended instructions. No sugar needed as it isn't bitter. I will absolutely be buying again
